Huang Minxing

Prof. Huang Minxing, born in Jiahe of Hunan Province in April 1958, is the Director of Institute of the Middle Eastern Studies and Center of Iranian Research of Northwest University, Yangtse River Scholar of China’s Education Ministry, chief-editor of Middle Eastern Studies, Vice-President of both China’s Society of Asia-African Studies and China’s Society of Contemporary World History (CSCWH) and the President of CSCWH’s branch in Northwest China, Standing Director of China’s Society on Middle East Studies, a member of editorial boards of World History as well as West Asia and Africa in the charge of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.  With focus on the studies of Iraqi and Afghan history and economy of the Middle East.  The main publications are Saudi Arabia: Development of Manpower of An Oil Producer (1998), History of the Middle East Countries: the Volume of Iraq (2002), Eighteen Lectures on the History and Present Situation of the Middle East (2008), The Historical Change of Afghan Question (2013).
