The Relationship between Korea Peninsula and Liaod

Abstract: The east borderline of Liaodong Prefecture of Yan in the Spring and Autumn Period reached the northern regions of Datong River in Korea Peninsula. The territory name of Liaodong, developed from a prefecture, initially includes the northern regions of Datong River. From Wei and Jin Dynasties to Tang Dynasty, the connotation of Liaodong, regarded as a territory name, is extending, including the whole Datong River valley, even the whole area under Koguryo’s jurisdiction. Koguryo peole also call the location of their state Liaodong.
