The relationship between China and the World is now undergoing a profound historical change. The World aspires to know a true China, and China in many aspects is irretrievably in mergence with the World. In order to describe, analyze and promote this great trend, construct a new platform for dialogue and deepen the understanding among people of every culture, the Institute of International Studies (IIS) of Jilin University has established the bilingual (Chinese and English) journal of CHINA AND THE WORLD.

This journal aims at encouraging dialogue among civilizations and promoting thought intending to unveil a true China to the World.

This journal is a biannual publication every January and July. This journal advocates concise, restrained style of writing for promoting theoretical explorations and debates. We sincerely welcome contributions from scholars both at home and abroad.

Instructions:

1. Permanent sections include Studies on Contemporary China, Studies on Contemporary World, China’s Foreign Relations, Dialogue among Civilizations, Overseas Chinese Studies, Reviews, etc.

2. The article should be innovative in idea, rich in contents, well-organized, creative in methodology and concise in writing.

3. The article should observe academic protocols, summarize previous studies or current situation of research in main body or footnote. For citation style, see appendix.

4. The author is held responsible for the accuracy of either manuscript submitted. The manuscript is expected to be either in Chinese or in English. If there is any request, please attach it to the email.

5. Please submit article electronically in MS Word format. Please provide clearly the title of article, author’s name, abstract, key words, and a brief introduction of author (name, affiliation, professional title, city, postcode, phone number, email address) on the first page.

China (P.C.: 130012, Tel: 0431-85168357). Reviewing time is 3 months. The author of the published article will receive a pay and two sample copies. Unaccepted manuscripts are not to be returned.
